I am continuing to work collaboratively with the dynamic textile group Studio21. We have completed an exciting project investigating the sewing machine. A contemporary view of the ‘Iron Needlewoman’. We explored its impact socially, culturally, historically and our own feeling towards this amazing machine. This exhibition will be showing at The Knitting & Stitching Shows in London, Dublin and Harrogate during October to November 2017. See the Exhibitions page. We are beginning a new project investigating ‘Colour’ and will be seen at the Knitting & Stitching Shows in 2018.

Last summer, I joined over 60 Surrey artists to be a part of a large county community project called ‘The Surrey Cow Parade’. Artists were invited to paint fiberglass cows to raise money for a wide variety of charities. My exotic brightly coloured cow was called ‘Ermintrude’. She was on display in Dorking, Surrey later auctioned raising money for The Royal Marsden Hospital, Sutton. This is where she now resides grazing in the grounds near the main entrance to the amusement of the patients, relatives, staff and friends. I was honoured and grateful to have taken part in such a heartwarming project.
