I am continuing to work collaboratively with the dynamic textile group Studio21. We are working on an exciting project investigating the sewing machine. A contemporary view of the ‘Iron Needlewoman’. We are exploring its impact socially, culturally, historically and our own feeling towards this amazing machine. This exhibition will be showing at the Stroud International Textile Festival on 30th April to 22nd May 2016.

An interview, about my work can be seen at www.textileartist.org.

For the community project experience I will be painting a cow this spring! CowParade is coming to Surrey and is part of the world’s largest public art event. The brightly coloured cows will be positioned around Surrey from May to September. Each cow is ‘sponsored’ by a business, school or charity and decorated by local artists. The cows, which can be sitting, grazing or standing, or calves for schools will be herded to the inaugural Surrey Hills Food, Drink and Music Festival at Coverwood Farm in Ewhurst on 3rd September 2016 where they will be auctioned off for charity. This is going to be great fun! For more information visit www.cowparadesurreyhills.com.
